We spend quite a lot of our time ignoring our bodies. Our brain has evolved to ignore things that are habitual. As the old engineering adage goes: if it works, don’t touch it. I usually only notice my body when something’s wrong: a pain somewhere, an urge that cannot be ignored any longer (usually to go pee).
Today I invite you to listen to your body. Set a timer and spend some time just being in your body, listening to your heart beat, following the breath. When your timer rings, try to write down what it felt like. What did your body tell you?
