Friday Prompt: Jealousy

Read this on galpod.com.

Julia Cameron says that jealousy is a map of where we want to go. It reminds us of what we want to achieve, the road that is still ahead.

I invite you today to reflect on jealousy. From the top of your head and without thinking about it too much, write down 10 people you are jealous of and why. Then sit for a bit with how jealousy feels in your body. Let it breathe. It’s ok. No one has to know who is on the list. Describe on the page how it feels to be jealous and how it feels to let yourself be jealous.

Now, pick three people from the list, and think about why you are jealous of them. What do they have that you want? How can you get it? Write down a plan. If that feels too big, write a story about someone who wanted the thing that you want and what that person did to get that thing.

Hey there! I would love to hear whatever you're willing to share that came from the prompt. Please comment below or click on the chat window, even if it's only to tell me that you've found this prompt useful (or ridiculous).
